Day 1 Shakeology Cleanse

Today is the first day of my 7 day Shakeology Cleanse. Every Recovery Week for programs like P90X and Insanity, I always use Shakeology because its the perfect time to do so. Recovery weeks burn less calories so using the Shakeology as a meal replacement weight loss shake, helps me to lose weight by balancing my calorie goal. Plus it helps to burn more fat and calories.  The other reason why I love to use Shakeology during recovery weeks is because there are ingredients in there that make me feel great! This is a big bonus because Recovery Weeks can be a bit boring for grads so the Shakeology gets me energized, elevates my mood, and gets me ready BRING IT for then next phase.

I especially need this Shakeology Cleanse because I have been doing a special P90X Mass Muscle Gain schedule. I have been hitting it hard with P90X for the last 6 weeks without a recovery week. Because of the extra calories (for muscle gain), I can really benefit from Shakeology to lean back up before starting my next phase.

Today’s first recipe is arguably the best Chocolate Shakeology recipe, the Carl Daikeler special (named after CEO of Beachbody®’s favorite Shakeology recipe). The recipe is one medium banana, 1 tablespoon of Peanut butter, 1 cup water, and ice. i decided to modify it to my taste:

1 Chocolate ShakeologyChocolate Shakeology Recipe Carl Daikeler
1 medium banana
1/2 tablespoon organic Peanut butter
2 oz Organic Milk
1 Tablespoon of Organic Quick Oats
1 Cup water
Ice

Yum!! It’s so easy to make delicious recipes with the Chocolate and its perfect to split with your spouse or friend. Most people prefer to have Shakeology for breakfast, but I love to use it for dinner instead for a variety of reasons. Dinner should be the lightest meal of the day s by having Shakeology I not only have a light calorie meal, but something that doubles as a dessert! I also workout early in the morning so having a light meal for breakfast isn’t a good idea. Many people make the mistake of eating a light breakfast, or worse, no breakfast at all. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! If we don’t eat enough at breakfast, we are prone to more cravings and therefore likely to eat more calories later.
