Today is Day 2 of my Shakeology Cleanse P90X Recovery Week. Since I went with one of the best Chocolate Shakeology recipes yesterday, I decided to choose one of the best Greenberry Shakeology recipes for today, Greenberry Sunrise!
1 cup Orange juice
For a little twist, I added one tablespoon of flaxseed for a boost in heart healthy, Omega 3 fatty acids. Plus, a little healthy fat helps to slow the absorption of carbohydrates to better maintain blood sugar levels. I used to add them whole to foods until I learned that the body has a hard time actually digesting them. The seeds tend to pass thru the digestive tract without ever being used, especially when combined with high fiber foods. They don’t grind very well in the big blender so I grind them up in a separate coffee grinder and add them in.
