Ultimate Reset Cleanse Review Day 8 – The Big “Drop”
The first thing I did this morning was weigh in to see how much weight I lost since starting, especially since my hunger has increased the last few days. When I started the Ultimate Reset Cleanse and Detox program on day 1, I was already using the optional afternoon snack in addition to my own, unsanctioned morning snack. The reason for the morning snack, which is not part of the Ultimate Reset Cleanse guidelines, was that I did not want to lose weight too fast. My goal was a pound, maybe two, a week but on Day 5 I reported a 5 pound weight loss which I was not expecting. Starting with Day 5, I immediately increased my calories by about 150 yet I seemed to be getting hungrier with each day.
So I stepped on the scale this morning to see I had lost 6.9 pounds in the first 7 days of the Ultimate Reset. Yikes, that is a big drop in weight! My goal was NOT to lose weight fast, but this diet is working far better than I could ever have imagined so I have once again raised my calorie goal by another 100 and that might not even be enough!
Today marks the first day of the second week of the Ultimate Reset program. Week 1 was “Reclaim” where the body begins the detox program by slowing removing harmful toxins, returning to a balanced pH (acidity) in the body, and transitioning away from diary and meat products.
Week 2 is “Restore” where the the Ultimate Reset Cleanse program truly begins by adding the new Ultimate Reset supplement: Detox to our daily regimen. This new supplement does much more than simply detox the body, it starts to cleanse the colon of waste and toxins.
TMI Warning!
I hardly think I need the cleanse as I am now having regular daily bowel movements since starting the Ultimate Reset program. Last night I had my typical bowel movement, but this morning something remarkable happened. While I was sipping my water with the Mineralize Ultimate Reset Cleanse supplement, I felt the urge to go. At first, I thought it was simply gas due to all the beans and lentils from previous meals. But suddenly, I had to race to the bathroom and had probably the biggest bowel movement of my life. TMI? I warned you! Seriously, I think I have a hole in my body now from this huge “drop.” I found it very strange to have such a big bowel movement the next morning after my typical nightly one. I credit this due to the high fiber amount in the Ultimate Reset diet.
“I had lost 6.9 pounds in the first 7 days”
Most cleanse programs uses harsh laxatives or similar methods to do the notorious “colon blow” that people joke about. Beachbody promises that this will be a natural and gentle colon cleansing. So the thought of moving on to the Ultimate Reset Cleanse phase amuses me as I really don’t think I have much left in me to purge from the body. Nevertheless, we shall see what lies ahead.
Scheduled for breakfast was an all fruit platter and as much as I wanted to have my first all fruit meal in my lifetime, I couldn’t bring myself to conform to the program calorie goal guidelines. In order to keep my calories up I added a slice of wheat bread with a tablespoon of almond butter. For my unsanctioned morning snack, I had an Ultimate Reset approved week 2 snack: carrots and avocado, plus a rice cake with another tablespoon of almond butter.
Lunch was another microgreen salad and I am totally digging the pumpkin and sunflower seeds now. I love the crunch and taste they give to the salad and I have discovered that my lunch salad keeps my hunger at bay very well. I know this is due to the high healthy fat amount which helps to regulate blood sugar levels. The Ultimate Reset program is an unusual diet as it it actually a high carbohydrate and healthy fat diet. I hope this proves to people once and for all that carbs and fats do NOT make you fat! Although its important to point out that the fats are healthy monosaturated fats, not loaded with saturated fats like with an Atkins diet.
For my afternoon snack I had more berries with another slice of wheat bread. My preferred bread choice is Dave’s Killer Power Seed wheat bread. No, that is not a homemade recipe of mine as many of my Facebook peeps have asked– it’s actually the brand name. Dave’s organic breads have seeds baked in the crust and its not only healthy for you, but taste’s great!
Dinner was supposed to be pinto beans and rice but I have salmon to cook for the family so I am doing an exact repeat of the dinner from Ultimate Reset Day 1.
Ultimate Reset Cleanse Review Day 8 – Conclusion
Overall I am feeling fantastic, but I’m sure that is partly due to my increase in calories. My energy levels are good and my sleep quality is unbelievably great. I may just start dong some exercises very soon, but I’ll start off easy like with Ten Minute Trainer.

What happened? Did you stop for some reason?
Nope! I went on a mini vacation this last weekend and I’ll have the new blob post up soon.
Thanks for reading my Ultimate Reset journey! ARe you going to take the plunge too?
I’m thinking about it- I’ve been keeping an eye on different reviews of the reset… I tried a juice cleanse and only lasted 4 days because of the side effects, so I’m trying to see if I would have the same problems with this program…
My mother in law tried the juice diet once, but it was a hassle to both juice and clean the juicer.
I had a lot of dizziness and lethargy, and also severe stomach cramps a couple times a day. I like cooking, and juicing didn’t take any more time or effort than cooking, so that part wasn’t a problem for me- it was the physical discomfort…
It could simply have been a very low calorie goal. That’s why tracking calories is a good idea plus you can keep an eye on your protein, carbs, and fat. Good thing about the Ultimate Reset is that it is very nutritionally balanced.
Ok… I ordered it- we’ll see how it goes
Awesome Erica! When is your planned start date?
