Ultimate Reset Diet Review Day 9 Thursday
Today marks day 2 of Phase 2: Release of the Ultimate Reset diet. Yesterday was the first morning that I used my alarm to wake up as I finally committed to waking up without grogginess. That must have worked to get me out of my funk as it was much easier to wake up on today. Day 9 also marks the first time I attempted any exercise while on the Ultimate Reset diet.
Exercise is NOT something you are supposed to do while on the Ultimate Reset diet, but if you have been reading my Ultimate Reset Journal than you would know that I have been adding calories to the normal plan because I have been losing weight too fast. So with the extra calories I also get more energy and decided to start off with something light. I considered Ten Minute Trainer Cardio or even INSANITY Cardio abs, but settled for somewhere in the middle for P90X AbRipperX which was perfect. I did a little ab/core resistance work which burns a few calories as well.
I also forgot to mention my impression of the new Ultimate Reset Supplement for Phase 2 Release, the detox. This is my least favorite part of the day as I really don’t like the taste. At first, I thought the Alkalinize was bad, but I’m used to it now and don’t mind it. However, the Alkalinize is a very salty flavor whereas the Detox is sweet. But it’s not a “good” sweat flavor, its more of a weird mix of citrus, peppermint, and stevia.
Day 9 was mostly a repeat of previous meals and for lunch I had the Beans & Rice recipe although I had to use black beans instead of pinto beans. After logging my calories, I realized that this was a big calorie meal and perhaps the biggest since being on the Ultimate Reset. This should be a nice “feast” for those on the lower calorie goal end of the Ultimate Reset.
For dinner I made a new recipe, Sweet Potato and Roasted Red Pepper Bisque. This was another delicious and simple Ultimate Reset recipe to make! However, since it was soup it was also exceptionally easy to eat too fast and I had to control myself from eating the remaining portion. I would much rather eat the sweet potato as a whole as it is more satisfying and leave the soup as a side dish. Otherwise you can easily find yourself slurping those calories very quickly!
Ultimate Reset Diet Review Day 10 Friday
Waking up today was much easier and I enjoyed a new fruit to the menu, cherries. They are in season right now so I had a terrific breakfast. For lunch I had another microgreen salad with a half serving of the Sweet Potato and Roasted Red Pepper Bisque.
The new dinner recipe for today was scheduled to be Quinoa Lentil Pilaf for dinner, but I wanted to go back and complete a recipe I missed, Nori Rolls with Tempeh and Veggies. This worked perfect as I had just enough leftover brown rice to make the recipe. However, once I pulled out my seaweed sheets I realized that they were too small. I obviously bought the snack size but I continued to make 4 mini Nori Rolls. I found it amusing to make these rolls as I was laying down the brown rice, carrot matchsticks, and avocado because there was no way these babies would roll up. What was even funnier was to actually try and eat them and I had to resort to using a fork to scoop everything up. Edit: One of my Ultimate Reset Challengers, Erica S, made perfect looking Nori Nori rolls and snapped a beautiful photo that can be viewed on this page.
For the Nori Gomasio, instead of making my own toasted sesame seeds I simply bought some from my local store.
Why go through the extra hassle? They already have the roasted flavor so this cuts down on preparation time. I should also point out that sesame seeds are a very rich source of calcium, which is terrific when going on vegan like with the Ultimate Reset diet. Without milk, calcium is hard to find in food sources but these seeds pack a significant amount.
Ultimate Reset Diet Review Day 11 Saturday
Last night the family and I prepared for a spontaneous trip for the weekend. Luckily, the Ultimate Reset diet plan is fairly easy to follow so I packed plenty of fruits and snacks for my travels. I enjoyed eating my fruits and veggies while traveling on the road and I even steamed up some brown rice the night before and brought it along with my can of pinto beans for an Ultimate Reset lunch. Dinner, however, was a social setting and going off plan was unavoidable. Anybody that has ever tried to follow a diet plan knows that certain social situations make it nearly impossible to stay on the plan. I couldn’t realistically pull out my tupperware with my Ultimate Reset meal at the restaurant dinner table. Strange looks, jokes, or comments are not an issue for me. It’s knowing that not participating in a social dinner will skew the relationships in some manner for myself and my family with the others at the table.
So I ordered what I considered to be the “safest” meal available, chicken fajita salad. This included grilled chicken and onions and bell peppers, with pinto beans, cheese, and guacamole on a big bed of lettuce. In traditional Ultimate Reset fashion, I ate slowly and was entirely conscious of my food and the meal was instantly identifiable as too greasy and salty from my current Ultimate Reset diet tastes.
Before starting the Ultimate Reset, finishing this meal would have been no problem, but I couldn’t even imagine finishing this large meal before me. Afterward, I paid the price as my stomach was upset for several hours and this result posed many questions. What was making my stomach so upset? The high amounts of marginally healthy vegetable oil? the small amount of cheese after not having much dariy while on the Ultimate Reset? Or perhaps it was the chicken meat since that is what I have abstained from the longest, and had the least, while on the Ultimate Reset. Nevertheless, I was almost thankful for having that meal because I woke up the next morning more determined than ever to get back to the Ultimate Reset diet plan.
Ultimate Reset Diet Review Day 12 Sunday
The next morning I was eager to start the day with the an Ultimate Reset meal. Because of the consequences of my dinner from the previous night, there was absolutely nothing that tempted me at the all you can eat breakfast buffet. Believe me, there were plenty of unhealthy, “tasty” options at the buffet, but I won’t list them here in case you are reading this while on the Ultimate Reset. For breakfast I made natural, tasty and healthy oatmeal with berries and walnuts, right there in my hotel room.
The rest of the day was more preplanned Ultimate Reset diet meals and dinner was scheduled for the Mediterranean Roasted Beets with Coconut Collard Greens.. Since I am not trying to lose weight fast, I decided to use the Roasted Root Medley recipe instead as the perfect fit. I LOVE this recipe! This time I made a bunch so I can use them as leftovers and the whole family enjoyed it. I love it so much that’s it was extremely tough for me to not eat the remaining potions. In the future, this would make a terrific dinner side dish to complement a meal.
I debated whether or not to post my picture of my medley as the picture does not do this recipe justice. I decided to keep it “real” by posting my picture. Trust me, its delicious!
Ultimate Reset Diet Review Day 13 Monday
I was experienced some extreme “vacation lag” this morning as I woke up early and I was feeling a bit down as well. Today was a hard day to not think about my morning coffee ritual that I abandoned long ago. However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized didn’t need caffeine as I really wasn’t tired at all. In fact, I had a full 8 hours of quality sleep, thanks to the Ultimate Reset. So in reality, I was craving the effects of the caffeine stimulant to lift my mood. Once I realized this, the decision to go with Shakeology was easy and I blended up a frothy, Tropical Strawberry Shakeology shake as my unsanctioned morning snack. This worked out perfect as I was feeling much better and didn’t go off the Ultimate Reset detox plan.
I highly recommend having some Tropical Strawberry Shakeology while on the Ultimate Reset as an easy alternative to snack. It’s great for emergencies or you can add some fresh fruit to make as a meal. The different Ultimate Reset options can me confusing as only the Ultimate Reset Challenge Pack will give you Tropical Strawberry Shakeology along with the Ultimate Reset.
I should point out that I’m totally used to the Ultimate Reset Detox supplement now. It’s funny how both the Detox and Alkalinize, where once
considered horrendous, are now tolerable. Plus it is just as Beachbody describes, a “gentle” detox and cleansing supplement. This will NOT give you uncontrollable bowel movements or anything like that, but it does make it a lot easier and often to pass one.
For lunch I skipped the Quinoa Lentil Pilaf and opted for a quick Beans and Rice lunch. I love how you can easily improvise while on this Ultimate Reset diet! For dinner I moved onto the scheduled dinner recipe, the Kabocha Squash with Garlic Tahini Filling. I didn’t have the ingredients for the filling and rather than wait for the grocery store, I simply used some hummus spread I still had available in my fridge. I also mixed it with some garlic olive oil to give it that rich garlic flavor. Although the filling came out a little thick so a little extra olive oil will work better for next time.
That’s it for today. If you love my journal, please post a comment or two! Stay tuned tomorrow peeps! Click here to view my whole Ultimate Reset Review Journal or go straight to Day 14!
